Description: ITG currently has a position opportunity for an entry
level mechanical engineer for our Champaign, Illinois office. This person
must posses an ability to work on projects from the concept stage through
construction and take an increasingly responsible role in the management of
projects. This person must also independently evaluate, select and apply
standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria on moderately
complex projects.
Primary Responsibilities:

Performs work involving the application of all conventional aspects of
mechanical engineering to the functional area of the assignment. |

Development of technical
evaluations for equipment purchase |

Development of P&ID’s |

• |
Exercises judgment in the
independent evaluation, selection, and substantial adaptation and
modification of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria. |

Conceptualizes the initial
mechanical design approach for major phases of all project types and has
overall responsibility for the mechanical engineering work. |

• |
Knowledgeable in consulting and
construction practices to include plan/specifications, design/build and
construction manager roles and responsibilities. |
|
• |
Plans, schedules, conducts or
coordinates mechanical engineering work. |
|
• |
Also, supervises the design and
ongoing progress of a project, including the coordination of the project
with City, State, and County officials, and other outside agencies. |
|
• |
Resolves a variety of complex
problems, (i.e. conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of
conventional materials, difficult coordination requirements). |
|
• |
Reviews plans and prepares or
reviews technical specifications, contract documents, and estimates. |
|
• |
Participates in contract bidding
and administration; observes project action on site. |
Will be required to
perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering and
Professional Engineer registration.
Experience: 1 – 3 years of mechanical engineering work experience.
BSME or the ability to become registered preferred.

mechanical engineer for our Champaign, Illinois office. This person must
posses an ability to manage all projects from conception through
construction, act as a client liaison, and collaborate with and train team
members. This person must also display strong leadership skills in the
management of projects and independently evaluate, select, and apply
standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria on moderately
complex projects.
